    As a reflection of our continued growth, we have an exciting opening to join our team as a Medical Scribe. 

     

    As a WellNow Medical Scribe you will be a vital part of the team and will work under the direction of a medical provider, assisting them in the exam room by documenting the patient encounter in the electronic medical record. 

     

    You will be a part of a team that is dedicated to improving the delivery and quality of healthcare to our Urgent Care patients, while being part of a medical community in which you are supported in your growth as a medical professional.

    Responsibilities

    • Accompanies the provider to the bedside
    • Accurately and thoroughly documents the patient medical history, physical exam, and procedures
    • Completes transcription as requested
    • Performs tasks to improve provider efficiency during the course of a shift
    • Assists with registering patients and cleaning rooms as requested
    • Maintains confidentiality with all patient information according to HIPAA laws

    Minimum Education and Experience

    • Basic understanding of medical terminology and general medical knowledge
    • Excellent listening and note-taking skills
    • Ability to apply written instructions and standardize work practices
    • Basic computer skills, including the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
    • Demonstrated ability to type at least 45 words per minute
    • Strong communication skills, including grammatical, spelling and verbal
    • Detail-oriented with proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracy
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Capable of working well on a team
    • Friendly and customer service oriented

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required

    Required License or Certification:

    • Will be required to complete scribe training program prior to first shift
